Sol Spa is a distinctive spa service company on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia. The company´s founder is Linda E. Balash, a Licensed Aesthetician, and Certified LaStone® Therapist, who formally trained and established herself within the spa industry in Vancouver and Kelowna British Columbia, including Bianchés Health & Beauty Clinic. After a rejuvenating excursion to the Sunshine Coast, Linda began her pursuit of passion to establish a company focused solely on providing exceptional and personalized spa service. Established in 2002, Sol Spa is proud to have its roots on the Sunshine Coast. While just a stone´s throw away from the city, the Sunshine Coast is a spectacular and diverse region unto its own, with an essence of natural simplicity - the ideal setting to take time for you.
The pursuit of Linda´s passion started with a lot of travel through the 1990´s . After spending a year back-packing through Australia, Linda moved back to her home town in Kelowna BC and began the 1000 hour Esthetics & Spa program at the Kelowna School of Esthetics & Hair Design. She completed the program along with the licensing requirements through the government of BC in 2000. Linda´s experience and training includes Swedish Massage, Aromatherapy, LaStone® Therapy including deep tissue, Reiki, Esthetics and Spa Technologies.
Her work comes from the spirit and her desire to do more, to learn more, to touch lives for a time and to be an inspiration is her hope. The Art & Soul Of Spa is in essence, the work, and the dream.
She is an active participant in various health, spa and cosmetology seminars and conferences, including Esthétique Spa International, and is a proud supporter of the Coast Cultural Alliance.
Sol Spa has established its day spa studio in a classic oceanfront cottage conveniently located along the Sunshine Coast highway. Our beach cottage is elegant, private and a petite piece of paradise. We welcome you into our English garden, the stepping stones guide you to our seperate entranceway into our Sol Solarium. Retreat and soak in the sunshine and the soft sea breeze....
During the 1920's and into the 1940's Selma Park was known as a resort area. The steamship SS Selma brought large parties of tourists for day trips or to spend the summer months at the cottages. In its heyday Selma Park boasted a dance pavilion and a tea room. Sol Spa invites you to step back into a quieter time and enjoy a cup of tea while soaking your feet, lavish in a organic facial or receive a peaceful massage. Our professional studio and atmoshpere are for those who are seeking relaxed and personalized day spa services. We also offer sidebyside spa treatments, please book ahead for availability.
